Aunt May was a character who we settled on fairly recently in development. As one of the 'elders' of the Marvel canon, she has a perspective on events that just can't be beat. Especially in a tense situation like the Marvel Civil War, you need the voice of experience if your story is going to be authentic.

We started developing Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 almost two years ago. However, during the production process, we were confronted by an indisputable fact: we were almost completely ignoring the senior citizen demographic. From the fan reactions we got at New York Comic Con, we could see they agreed, so as of this week we have officially changed the focus of our game from "the largest army of Super Heroes" to "an Action-RPG for all ages." Aunt May brings a lot of new opportunities for action to the game, especially given her upgradeable cybernetic walker and new “beat with sticks” mechanic. Beyond just adding Aunt May, we’ve replaced the hub levels from the first game with lovely parks that feature no combat and take a minimum of forty-five minutes to complete.

I was put in charge of re-appropriating game design assets and making them more "senior friendly." As a narrative designer, my job typically boils down to looking at awesome stuff people have made and saying "actually our storyline means you can't do that," so this task was a natural fit for me. To start off, Aunt May’s going to draw a crowd that isn’t typical for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2. Obviously, senior citizens don’t approve of senseless property damage, and they certainly don’t solve their problems with fisticuffs. That’s why we’ve eliminated the ‘mass destruction’ components of our game, and put in some code that prevents any melee fighting when Aunt May’s looking in the character’s direction. Aside from her abilities to shut down super villains with a stern look, Aunt May will also take part in dangerous fusions with such Marvel icons such as her nephew Spider-Man. In one particular fusion, he throws his elderly aunt into a crowd of villains at high speed! Additionally, we know that fans will demand Aunt May’s well-known alter-ego, Golden Oldie, Herald of Galactus. So players will also have the option of unleashing her world-destroying powers.

Of course, we had to add in some extra elements to account for the loss of our Destruction feature. Not to give too much away, but cookie-baking and doily-knitting minigames have been sorely under-represented in next-generation Action RPGS. Until this Fall, that is. We're excited to create a fresh, new experience which will appeal to fans of video games, comic books, and shuffleboard. Better get an extra controller, 'cause Grandma's gonna call dibs.

Aunt May/Hulk Fusion, Hulk places May on his back and leaps high into the air, then May unleashes a verbal tirade to the goons on the ground stunning them Hulk smashed to earth knocking the stunned goons flying in all directions. aunt may should be a hidden unlockable character with comical attacks that are the most damaging and powerfull in the game.
like:
chide- she stands there and chides leaving all enemies paralyzed- even bosses for 5 seconds while she spouts motherly advice like “wear your mittens or you will get cold”.
purse smash- she smashes and enemy with her purse doing 4x damage as the most damaging move in the game
ressurect-
since she is practically a corpse, the push of a button ressurects downed party members
summon uncle ben’s ghost-
uncle ben returns to life to follow her around and instantly kill any enemy he comes in contact with- except bosses who he just reduces thier current health by half with each touch.
